Performance on entrance and board exams (SAT or ACT) is an important factor in college admissions. The goal of test preparation is to maximize students' familiarity with specific test's structure, question design, and content, a proven strategy to minimize anxiety and improve performance. With individualized instruction, knowledge and content building, extensive practice and proctored exams, APTitude helps students achieve highest scores possible.

In merely 4 sessions with APTitude:

  • ACT scores improved by 20%
  • SAT scores improved by 8.5%

We recommend planning ahead for a preparation class by 2-3 months in order to properly balance the weight of additional SAT or ACT prep to a student’s ongoing school and extra-curricular activities schedule as well as give them time to absorb and practice new skills they will learn over the course of a recommended 20 hours of preparation.  Consistent, timely instruction and review increase students’ confidence and ability with these tests.

We offer this valuable preparation in three distinct formats:

1) Private: If your student learns best individually or needs a flexible schedule, private instruction is the best choice.  Value: personalized attention and instruction, focused, content-based review, strategies and tactics to improve test taking skills, integrated proctored practice exams, answer review and score analysis.

2) 2 Students: If you like the idea of private instruction but also want some interaction for motivation, select to sign up with a friend. Value: personalized attention and instruction, focused, content-based review, strategies and tactics to improve test taking skills, integrated proctored practice exams, answer review and score analysis.

3) 3+ Students: Your child thrives on working with other students with similar goals in a class environment on a regular schedule, therefore a classroom course with up to 6 makes the most sense.  Value:  group instruction, focused, content-based review, strategies and tactics to improve test taking skills, integrated proctored practice exams, answer review and score analysis.

AP Test Tutoring

Tutoring services are also available for a few subjects in the Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum. After an initial interview to assess needs and goals, students work individually with an instructor to hone their skills and prepare for this specific test format.
